- Basic profile information from third-party sign-in providers (such as Google), including name and email.
- Standard server logs, including IP addresses, browser identifiers, and request timestamps, collected automatically for security and troubleshooting.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate SQWK features and account functionality.
- Process telemetry and generate analytics, scoring, and debrief insights.
- Communicate with you, including account and security notifications and, where you have opted in, flight coaching emails about your analyzed flights.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot service issues.
- Improve product quality, reliability, and user experience.
3. Email Communications
We send two distinct kinds of email:
- Service and security emails (such as email verification and password reset). These are necessary to operate your account and are sent on the basis of our contract with you. You cannot opt out of these while you maintain an account.
- Flight coaching emails (an optional post-flight debrief with your score and coaching insights, sent after a flight is analyzed). These are sent only if you opt in, either at signup or from your account settings, on the basis of your consent.
You can withdraw consent and stop flight coaching emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email or from your SQWK account settings. Opting out of coaching emails does not affect service or security emails. We use a third-party email service provider to deliver these messages on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms; see Sharing and Disclosure and International Transfers.
4. Legal Bases and Consent
Where required by applicable law, we process data under appropriate legal bases, including contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.
Flight coaching emails and other optional communications are sent on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For analytics cookies and similar technologies, we honor your consent preferences through in-app controls where available.
5. Cookies and Analytics
SQWK may use cookies or similar technologies for essential session behavior and, where enabled by your preference, analytics measurement. You can update analytics consent from SQWK cookie controls.

6. Telemetry Data Handling
Telemetry data is processed to provide flight review features, including visualization, trend analysis, and performance summaries.
You remain responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to upload telemetry and related data to SQWK.
Telemetry retention varies by subscription tier. Free accounts retain telemetry for 30 days; Pro accounts for one year. After the retention period, telemetry data is automatically removed.
8. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide services, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type and operational needs.
When you delete flights or request account deletion, data is marked for removal and purged within 30 days.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data, but no system can be guaranteed fully secure.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal data, and to object to or restrict specific processing.
You can opt out of flight coaching emails and other optional communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails or from your SQWK account settings. Opting out does not affect essential account, security, or transactional emails.

11. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries different from your own, including by our service providers such as our email service provider. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.
12. Children's Privacy
SQWK is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review and address the request.
